Christmas 2006
Hi. As some of you know, everyone here (except me) has been really sick with a stomach virus the past couple of days. I’m sure I’m in for it soon. Trying to wash my hands a lot. We went to the doctor this morning, and both kids seem to be doing ok. So far, neither is dehydrated. I amhoping Nate is almost over it so it’s just a matter of getting Darla and Madeline healthy.
Darla doesn’t like the Plogger gallery, she says it’s not easy to use. I am trying out a new kind of gallery here, in part because we have SO MANY Christmas pictures. I told Darla to pick out ONLY THE BEST pics, and then I tried to cull her selection but we still have 187. That’s about 1/3 of the total pictures taken. These pics are optimized for quick uploading (and presumably downloading), so if you want to order prints you may want the originals. I will try to burn them onto CD so we can mail them around.
Ok, I’d really like it if you let me know what you think about this new “picasa albums” gallery. How does it compare with the older, plogger galleries? worse, better, or about the same? I am interested in cosmetic comments, but it is possible to change the “look” in either program. I am more interested in whether it works, and whether it is understandable.

catching up on pics (sort of)
Ok, I had a few minutes this evening to make a short post and upload some pictures. I tried to pick up where we left off, so these are still out of date. They go through the end of the month of July 2006. I’m trying a slightly different format here, but the same basic idea. Click on any of the pictures below and it will take you to the actual page of the Plogger gallery. It’s a little bit more complicated to do it this way, but maybe it’s more user-friendly.

a whole bunch of new pictures posted, click one of these to see them. i will be adding several more this week, i hope, but sometimes it’s hard to stay caught up. if you know what RSS is, you should know that both this site (the blog) and the plogger gallery have RSS feeds. if you use a newsreader, you might add the plogger site, then you could see the pics as soon as they’re up!
